Developed by Creative Universe, the Universal Sparrow Trap is designed to fit inside martin housing whose inside compartment measurements are no smaller than 5-1/4" high x 4-3/4" wide x 4-3/4" deep. The UST is great at capturing House Sparrows or Starlings especially during the cavity hunting stage (early Spring). The Universal Sparrow Trap comes fully assembled and features a vinyl coated wire body. There are two UST choices: the original UST features a powder coated shutter door with a 2-1/4" round hole, or our improved UST which features an oval opening with an aluminum sutter door on the face plate. The shutter rides on rails. The Oval UST features our new trapping mechanism, the bird need only hit the wire to activate the shutter plate. The oval opening works better with houses that have crescent entrances. Specify Oval or Original when ordering.
