The Troyer Horizontal Gourd with Tunnel Entrance (THTC) is a 9" x 14-1/2" deep one-piece gourd that is made from opaque polythylene plastic with UV inhibitors. The Troyer with Tunnel Entrance features the Conley II, a starling resistant entrance. This gourd includes the Troyer Tunnel (assembled on-to the gourd), which features the deeply ridged 3" x 6" porch. This durable gourd has a screw-on access cap that covers the access port, large enough to admit a human hand with a handful of nesting material. A series of molded-in texture and ribs on the upper neck allow the martins to easily perch on the gourd. There is an internal rubber traction mat to aid the martins in easy exiting of the gourd. Hang gourd from the molded-in 3/8" hanging tube. The Troyer Horizontal Gourd has 4 drainage holes for any rain that may blow in thru the entrance. Improved! The Troyer Gourd with tunnel has a been improved: the inner lip of the gourd has been removed and the rubber traction mat is installed up to the tunnel entrance.
